Hey there, Dr. Ryan Hetland here. Welcome to today's chiropracTIP of the day. I just wanted to give you one of good foundational tools for you to be pain-free and feel your best and a book that I'd like to point you to is by Dr. Eric Goodman.

Dr. Eric Goodman is a chiropractor. He started the Foundation Training Movement. It's a training series, video series. He's got his whole website. It's very popular. It's been on TV and you can Amazon it, but he's written a couple of books.

The most recent one I really like, it's called True to Form by Dr. Eric Goodman and it's just simple. And the best tip I can give you here today that I want to give you is that if you stretch and strengthen and learn how to breathe properly, that can really fundamentally help any sort of back pain and any sort of neck pain that you might be experiencing.

A lot of us, anyways, are hunched over at our computers all day which causes our back muscles to get weak, our front chest muscles to get tight and cave towards, then the head to go forward, and what happens is it crunches down on our lungs and we tend to lose that belly breathing method that we just have when we're babies and we start breathing with our upper chest, which in itself causes a spiral of different conditions and pain.

So consider getting this book. It's a great book, True to Form by Dr. Eric Goodman. It will teach you how to strengthen your body with the Foundation Training Method. It will teach you how to stretch and what muscles need to be stretched, and it will teach you how to retrain yourself how to breathe properly; three fundamental things that I try to point my patients to, if they're willing to do it.

Now this book, I think, on Amazon goes for 19 bucks or 16 bucks. So for $16, you can have a book you can read over and over again, and go over it and pictures, etcetera. It's a great book. Go ahead and get it. I'm not sure of the link, but just go on Amazon and put True to Form by Dr. Eric Goodman and you'll find it.
