Gonstead Chiropractic Adjustment for Upper Back Pain Relief in Inver Grove Heights!

"How is Gonstead different from corrective - guys who want to do adjustments for months to fully correct my spine. Is Gonstead geared more towards acute pain?"

Great Question, from YouTube!

"Gonstead" is a term used to described the method/technique we use to assess and adjust the spine. For a good summary you can check out, http://gonstead.com/gonstead-system/basic-principles/.

"Corrective" is usually a term used to describe a plan of care to correct the underlying cause of the problem and not just the symptom (ie. pain).

For Example, it may only take me a couple visits for a patients pain to subside, however they condition I am treating has not healed fully or been fully corrected yet and need future care.

Gonstead had a saying, "Find it (the problem), fix it, and leave it alone." Knowing when to stop adjusting a patient is just as important as knowing when a patient needs it.

"The right number and kind of adjustments can set the stage for nature to heal; too many adjustments in the wrong place can undo any good that was done and slow down the healing mechanism." - C.S. Gonstead, D.C.

Hope that helps!
